Arezzo VDL

Arezzo’s dam line exemplifies performance. The most famous representatives are Dragonfly with Nicole Simpson and Nacorde who won the Hamburg Derby three times with Andre Thieme. Both are half-brothers to Arezzo’s dam, Sarjolijn ‘Ster and Prestatie’. Besides Arezzo she also brought the international jumpers Zodermus M and Bubka VDL

Palmares

As a 3-yr. old, Arezzo was Champion of the KWPN Spring Stallion Test receiving a 9 for his reflexes, scope and talent as jumper. As a young horse Arezzo became reserve Champion of the stallion competitions in the classes 1.10m and 1.20m and at the National Championship of the 5-year olds he won the final and ended 5th overall. At the World Championship in Lanaken he placed 4th in the final of the 7-year old jumpers.

Ridden by Jessica Kuerten and Jur Vrieling, Arezzo has achieved many successes in sport. Under Jessica, Arezzo won the Grand Prix of Odense plus a prestigious 1.50m class at Indoor Brabant. Jur Vrieling then took over the reins with great success. Jur and Arezzo won more than eight international classes including Helsinki and London Olympia. Additionally, the pair solidified their ranking with 2nd‘s at Bonheiden, Treffen, Indoor Brabant and Ommen; 3rd at Salzburg; 4th’s at 1.45m in Valkenswaard and Gothenburg; a 5th in the GP Drachten, etc. Arezzo and Jur Vrieling concluded their sport career with a fantastic victory in the Grand Prix at the KWPN Stallion Show.

The 2020 KWPN Stallion Show was a highlight with Arezzo being awarded the predicate ‘Preferent’ for his excellence as a breeding sire.

Offspring

Several of his oldest offspring are already jumping at the highest Grand Prix level. VDL Edgar M showed, ridden by Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, to belong to the world’s best showjumpers. He finished in a fantastic 5th placein the Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix in Prague. Besides that he placed 2nd in the GCT GP Rome, 3rd GP Brussel, 4th GP Geneve etc. Garezzo won the GP Tortona and the worldcupclass of Bojourishte. Farezzo won the Six Bars in Verbier and Picobello Jasmine won the GP Opglabbeek. Amalia won in Spruce Meadows, Elena in Montpellier and Helder took the winners ribbon in the 7-years-old class at Vejer de la Frontera. Jarezzo became winner of the ‘Masters of Italy’.
More international successful offspring of Arezzo are: zoals Galaxy, Farah, Elien, First of April CL, Picobelle Jasmine, Eclips, Easy Again HBC, Emotion VDL, Evita W, Farezzo, Ginus, Hilfiger VDL, First Class en Amazing Girl etc.

Harwich placed 4th in the KWPN Championship for 7-year-olds. Jean Couture won the Hendrix-competition for 5-years-olds and was sold for €245.000 in the DSHS auction. Katokyboy HDH won the Hendrix-competition for 4-years-olds. Jyllena became Belgium Champion of the 5-years-olds and in Ireland it was Jardy who was the National Champion of the 5-years-olds.

In 2017 Farah became reserve champion in the KWPN Championship for 7-year olds and Guppie VDL placed 3rd in the Championship for 6-year olds.

Arezzo has several approved sons. In 2019 his son Levi VDL became approved and placed 5th in the final of the KWPN Stallionshow at ‘s Hertogenbosch.

At regional mare shows and Championships Arezzo’s daughters place highly:
Larenchidee scored 83,5 points for her IBOP and was Champion of the Young KWPN Mareshow. Ogruso H was reservechampion of the jumpingbred foals of the CK Groningen and Linderella became reservechampion of the 3-years-olds. Julena scored 90 points for her free jumping and was reserve champion of the CK Friesland. Jefrieda received 85 points for her free jumping and was reserve champion of the CK Groningen. Ialba VDL scored 90 points for her free jumping and placed 3rd at the National Mare Show. Foxanne Jr received 88.5 points for her IBOP and G-Karla-HBF received 81 points. In 2014, Go Joed Jr was Champion of the Open North Netherlands Championship in free jumping.
