August has seen the return of shows for Victoria. We started back at the Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre on the 15th and 16th of August where BDSJC ran a very successful weekend. We had a great show with all the young horses jumping well and CP Annibell placing 3rd in the 1.25m speed class and 3rd in the Mini Prix.
The following weekend we went to the Goulburn Valley Showjumping Club run event held at Tatura Park. This is always one of our favourite shows and it just gets better every year. We are now spoilt with not only a great indoor but an undercover warm up as well. Russell Morrison built the courses in Ring One and they were fantastic all weekend. All the horses jumped really well with CP Annibell placing 3rd in the Mini Prix two weeks running. Fontaine Blue VDL jumped in three classes for three ribbons (4th & 6th 1.10m and 6th 1.15m) and CP Aliyah placed 3rd and 5th in the 1.10m classes.
The following weekend we drove to Violet Town for the Euroa Classic which is another top show. It is now being held at a new venue which has the potential to be fabulous but unfortunately the rain just didn’t stop and the arenas were just too wet to compete on so the show has been postponed so we ended up with a weekend off at home which was really nice!
We then went to Sale for their Jump Club Show in the last weekend of August. Our two mare by Animate where again very consistent with CP Annibell 4th in the 1.40m and CP Aliyah 1st in the 1.10m.
We are now looking forward to September with the Australian Championships and Melbourne Royal.
