Tonimbuk World Cup Show saw in the beginning of December. We spent all four days there which provided a great opportunity for the young horses in particular to really get going. We took a team of ten horses there including students Tash, Jamie and Beck. All the horses jumped well with two of the young horses Cloud and Faltango both placing in 90cm classes over the show. McMillan also placed 6th in the 1.15m. Tash was 5th in two of the junior classes and Beck had a 2nd, a 3rd and finished with a 6th placing in the D grade Championship.

Our final show for the 2012 season was in Sydney at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. What a show to finish on! The most fantastic facilities and run event. I love riding on the main arena which was constructed for the Sydney Olympics. It is really big and allows the International course designer Leopoldo Palacios to build some fantastic tracks. We were thrilled with our young Animate mare Annibell who placed 2nd in the 7 year old class and 2nd in the Futurity Qualifier. She has really stepped up this season and has become very consistent. The World Cup was a super tough track as expected being the final for the 2012 World Cup season. There were several eliminations, falls and retirements. I was very happy to be sitting in 3rd place after the first round. Animate jumped well in the second round but had a few down so we finished in 7th place. This has been our first full World Cup season as a combination and I was very pleased to finish in 6th place on the Riders Ranking for the Australian League of the World Cup Qualifiers!

Once we returned home from Sydney we gave all the show jumpers a spell. They won’t come back into work until late January. We made the most of this time and sent Annibell up to Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital. We are going to try and get an embryo transfer from her. We would love to have a foal out of her but still be able to keep jumping her. So we will keep our fingers crossed that it happens over Christmas.
