Carlton Hill is an impressive stallion with three strong basic gaits with balance and rhythm. At the KWPN Stallion approvals he was an eye catcher ending in 4th place in the finals of the Championship for dressage horses.

His sire, Uphill, has currently competed at Prix St Georges and Intermediare I with scores over 70%. At Indoor Geldrop Uphill won in the Light Tour three times, and at Odense, Denmark, he won the Intermediare. In 2009, Uphill clinched the Dutch Championship at ZZ in the Big Tour. His first offspring are developing well with good results at the National Shows. Maternal grand sire of Carlton Hill, Vincent, was a successful Grand Prix dressage horse with Annemarie Sanders-Keijzer and is the sire of many good dressage horses including the Approved stallion Cabochon. Further back is Zebulon, sire of Goliath. Under Arjen Teeuwissen, Goliath brought solid value to the Dutch Dressage team winning a Silver Medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney.

The dam of Carlton Hill is the National Mare Champion, Rose of Vincent, who was shown at Z2-dressage. Grandmother Guida is ‘Keur’ and is also dam of the ‘Preferent’ Lisa, a Z1 dressage mare. Great grand dam Beauty carried the predicates ‘Ster, Prestatie and Sport’.

Palmares

Carlton Hill reinforced his selection for the stallion test with his strong movements and his rideability. His good character contributes to that quality and remarks on the ease of the ride he gives were noted. He received a total score of 82.5 points with an 8.5 for his walk, trot, and rideability and all other components received 8’s.
As 4-year old he placed 5th in the PAVO Cup with 86 points. In Sweden he won the Open
Swedish Championship for 5-year olds with 86.8% and was Reserve Champion at the
National Championships for 5-yr old dressage horses.
