At NVJC the following weekend Fontaine Blue VDL placed 3rd in the Ruby Championship and all the other horses jumped super double clear rounds in their classes. The grounds where great and fantastic courses designed by David Sheppard lead to really good jumping and tough jump off classes. Thanks to the show committees for their hard work!
Then onto Boneo Park for another fantastic three days of jumping. Their grass arena is absolutely wonderful to jump on and fantastic courses built by Gavin Chester lead to some really good jumping. Kablesse Kavita had her first win in the 1.10m and then a 2nd in the 1.10m championship on Sunday. Cavalli Park Aliyah placed in every class, winning the 1.20m Championship, 4th in the 1.15m and 5th in the 1.20m under 40 points. Fontaine Blue VDL was consistent as ever with two 3rds in the 1.20m classes. Also a huge congratulations to Jamie Ellis and Centaur MVNZ placing 2nd and 4th in the 1.20m classes and Maddy Rush placing 5th in the 1.05m.
To finish off a busy month we attended The Elms Grand Prix Show in Sale. This ran over four days with a thrilling Grand Prix on the Saturday evening with the winner taking home $10,000 in prize money and the surprise wedding of Kane Chester and his fiance Ash held on the main arena just prior to the Grand Prix. Again we were so happy with all our horses. Cavalli Park Aliyah placed 5th in the 1.20m and stepped up to compete in her fist Futurity jumping superbly. We are very excited about this young mare’s future. Fontaine Blue VDL competed in the Sapphire series placing in all three rounds with a 2nd, 6th and 10th in the final. Michelle and El Nino Vivace competed in the Amateur series winning the Championship class on Sunday.
