Sale Show Jumping Club again ran a great event on the 6th and 7th of September. Our two mares by Animate, were again very consistent with CP Annibell 4th in the 1.40m and CP Aliyah 1st in the 1.10m. Michelle and El Nino Vivace, were also 6th in the 1.10m. My eventing students also had great success competing at Werribee with Kirilee Hosier 6th and Isabel Houghton 8th in the 1*, Brooke Searle 2nd in two EvA95 sections and Georgie Birrell 4th, Shannon Kelly 4th, Sheridan May Wilson 7th and Sarah Ray 8th in the EvA80.
The Boneo Cup was a fantastic show the following weekend, thank you to the committee for running such a great event. The new grass arena is amazing! Cavalli Park Annibell jumped double clean to place 2nd in the Mini Prix, Cavalli Park Aliyah was 2nd in the 1.10m and 1.15m and Fontaine Blue VDL 4th in the 1.10m.
The Australian Championships was a very spectacular show. The arenas were presented beautifully and lots of wonderful trade stands! Our horses all jumped well but with very large, competitive, fields it was hard to get into the placing’s. Cavalli Park Aliyah did place 6th in the first qualifier for the Emerald Series and both Aliyah and Fontaine Blue VDL qualified for the final. Michelle and El Nino Vivace also paced in the Amateur qualifier and finished 6th in the Australian Amateur Final.
We then finished the month off at Melbourne Royal. We just had Cavalli Park Annibell competing and although she didn’t get any placing’s, we were really happy with her as she had stepped up to Part 2 and handled it very well.
